Retreat from Yavin 4
A Klatooinian with a thirst for freedom.
Kaash’Clotile had lived a tumultuous life as a leader on the Council of Elders on his home planet of Klatooine. As an elder, he was responsible for teaching his people to suppress individuality and assimilate to the ways of the race. Most troublesome to him was the eternal servitude to the Hutts. One day after hours of meditation, Kaash’Clotile decided to confront the Hutts and attempt to bring about a peaceful end to his people’s indentured servitude. As he approached the leader of the Hutts, he overheard a senator of the Empire conspiring with the leader of the Hutts murder half of the Kaltoonians in exchange for a pardon from the Death Star’s powerful ray. Upon hearing the leader of the Hutts’s agreeing to the terms, Kash’Clotile charged the conspirators. After being beaten to a pulp by the Senator’s body guards, the Senator grabbed a Therm-Ax from a nearby weapons cache and plunged it into Kaash’Clotile’s spine. Having been left to die in a nearby desert, Kaash’Clotile let out a final prayer and lost consciousness. He awoke in the Fountain of Ancients surrounded by his fellow Elders who were praying over his body. After losing and regaining consciousness once more, Kash’Clotile felt as though his body was rejuvenated and strong. He leapt from the fountain with a burst of adrenaline. His fellow elders explained that he Fountain had healed his body, but that his spine healed itself around the Therm-Ax, forever creating a sheath, which, upon removal, could cause instant death. From that day forward, Kash’Clotile vowed to hunt down the Senator and stop the eminent murder of his people. As is the way of his people, this vow can never be overturned. He has spent the years since his near death experience honing his fighting skills by assasinating leaders of the Empire. He is the unofficial “hired gun” of the Rebellion, as he has imposed this responsibility upon himself. Even though he knows it could kill him, in times of great need, he risks it all and removes the Therm-Ax from his spine, knowing that each time he does, it could mean death. Upon hearing of the Rebellion’s successful destruction of the Death Star, Kash’Clotile decided to join the Rebellion for its access to and knowledge of the Empire, with the hopes of eventually meeting and destroying his would be murderer.
